Philanthropy & Fundraising

Amware Logistics is committed to the advancement of research, care and support for individuals diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and Cancer, as well as their families.

…to promote effective philanthropy, and community improvement

Each of us works to promote an appreciation of the social and human costs and burdens imposed by each disease. Together, through physical and/or financial assistance, we participate through a world-renowned medical research organization and a nationally recognized summer camp for young adults:

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is a voluntary health agency - a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans. MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. Visit www.mdausa.org

First Descents Camp (FD), sponsored by NIKE ACG and other partners, is a groundbreaking new concept utilizing kayaking as a teaching aid for young adults with cancer. FD uses learning to kayak as a metaphor to help young adult cancer patients define their fears, face their challenges, and overcome obstacles. Through corporate support, individual donations, and fundraising events, the camp is offered free of charge to participants. Visit www.firstdescents.com

These events are extensions of the goodwill and sense of community responsibility prominent in each Amware craftsman. For more information please visit the respective websites above or contact Barry G. Leff, Director, Business Development, barryl@amwarelogistics.com.
